  • 500 gms of split urad dal
  • 3 cups of KDD yogurt
  • Salt to taste
  • Tamarind sweet chutney
  • 1 tbsp so roasted jeera powder
  • 1/2 tbsp of black salt
  • Oil for frying
  1. Soak the urad dal in enough water for three hours.
  2.  Drain and blend in a mixer till it is smooth, cover and keep it in the refrigerator for another 3 hours.
  3. Take out and whisk it till it becomes fluffy.
  4. Heat oil in a kadhai and drop in spoonful of batter in kadhai and fry till golden brown.
  5. Soak the pakoris in water with 2 tbsp of salt for about 3 hours.
  6. Whisk the yogurt well and add the salt, black salt and cumin powder.
  7. Squeeze the pakoris and drain the water and keep aside.
  8.  Arrange the pakoris well in a serving dish.
  9. Top them up with the yogurt mix and on top add the sweet tamarind chutney.
